Building a sustaianble future with veteran leadership.
We are currently in Rockaway NY. wrapping up the Veterans Green Bus Project here. The last four months we have been supporting volunteer relief organizations with forward operating bases, transportation of people, tools and supplying clean energy solutions. including Solar and biodiesel and WVO.
Our next events will be in San Diego, CA. Earth Fare Balboa Park. April 19th & 21st. Between now and then we have to get from Breezy Pointe NY to San Diego in our WVO fueled bus.
Our goal is to visit as many cities as possible to demonstrate how our bus works and support local events raising money for local/regional environmental issues. Fried cooking is a welcomed sight for the bus and crew.
The bus runs on used cooking oil and the crew love to show people how that works. They don't mind eating fried food either.
We are building The Veterans Green Bus and the Project into a veterans traveling demonstration of how to create sustainable energy after and natural disaster. We will making this process available on our website.
Right now, we will be documenting our efforts for Team Rubicon, New York Cares, and Friends of Rockaway. In the next two weeks we are going across the country to make it in time for Earth Day San Diego.
You are welcome to join us. Gordon Soderberg Executive Director & Veterans Chair United Peace Relief Program Director The Veterans Green Bus Project www.unitedpeacerelief.ning.com
